Indoor air quality

Cleaner air from your AC

Your AC moves all the air in the house, so a dirty filter, a wet drain pan or buildup in the air handler ends up in every room. Joel looks at where the problem starts.

FAQ

Questions homeowners ask

Why does my AC smell musty?

Usually moisture: a wet drain pan, a slow drain line or buildup on the coil inside the air handler. Fixing the moisture is what stops the smell.

How often should I change the AC filter in Miami?

It depends on the filter and the house. Check it monthly during the hot months and replace it when it looks grey or clogged.
