FAQ
When something is wrong
Why is my AC running but not cooling?
The common causes are a clogged filter, a frozen evaporator coil, a dirty outdoor coil or a low refrigerant charge. Set the thermostat to Off and the fan to On so ice can melt, then call.
Why is there water around my air handler?
Most of the time the condensate drain line is clogged and the pan is overflowing. Turn the system off and have the line cleared.
My thermostat screen is blank. What now?
Check the batteries and the breaker first. If it stays blank, a float switch may have shut the system down because the drain pan is full.
FAQ
Keeping it running
How often should a Miami AC get maintenance?
Systems here run most of the year, so many homeowners book at least one check a year, ahead of the hot months. Ask Joel what he recommends.
How often should I change the filter?
Check it monthly during the hot months and replace it when it looks grey or clogged.
